Trend for community driven project to fuel solar energy in 2015

The trend for community driven solar energy projects is set to continue within 2015, say clean energy experts.

The UK solar industry has outpaced other European countries in past years, becoming one of the world’s top solar markets, with figures showing that the enough electricity is produced to power 1.5 million homes.

One solar equipment provider explains this trend: “We saw a shift to more commercial and community solar electricity generating projects in 2014 and expect this trend to continue in 2015 on the back of Government policy, social pressure for more environmentally sensitive power generation and a desire to take some local control over energy production”
