Share offer – Harborough Solar One

Harborough Solar One - shares available

PLEASE NOTE THIS SHARE OFFER IS NOW CLOSED.  IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO APPLY FOR SHARES IN HARBOROUGH SOLAR ONE

The Harborough Solar One project aims to show how everyone can benefit from community owned solar schemes. Investors will see an estimated 5% return on investment, building owners will see a reduction in their energy bills and the wider community will benefit from a 20 year fund to help fight fuel poverty.

The project, which was launched on Monday 12th October, has been put together by Harborough Energy, a not for profit energy co-operative with support from local volunteers and Sustainable Harborough.

The project will involve the installation of around 668 solar panels at two sites in the town: the Robert Smyth Academy on Burnmill Road and Archway House Natural Health Centre on Lubenham Hill. Located on the roof of each building, the combined 160kW installation will produce an output of over 142,000 kWh each year.

Limited availability – this community share offer must close on November 9th 2015.
